Membership of the Bayside Vehicle Restorers Club (BVRC) is open to old vehicle enthusiasts all over the world. You do not have to be a vehicle restorer to become a member of our club, just someone who is interested in older vehicles. The club has about 180 members and there are over 450 vehicles ranging from 1904 to 1982 in the club. Club events are generally centred around the south-east corner of Queensland (Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, far northern New South Wales, and inland within two hour’s drive).
Bayside Vehicle Restorers Club (BVRC) encourages members with all varieties of vehicles Veteran, Vintage, Post Vintage, Historic and Modern Classics. The club organises regular runs on week-ends and mid-week, as well as major events such as our Australia Day Rally and our Annual Swap Meet. These events attract members from other clubs and enable members to network with fellow heritage vehicle enthusiasts. Our club members are invited to events & runs organised by many other historic vehicle clubs.
BVRC also organizes social events such as dinners and other outings throughout the year. Each year the club organises a long distance road trip.
Members of the club are able to concessionally register their over 30 year old club vehicles for about $220/year, but only after three months of membership and having attended 3 meetings or 4 events! Usage restrictions apply. Check out the registration page for details.
The club produces a quality club magazine four times each year. The club also has an extensive library of workshop manuals, technical books and general motoring books available to members. These books are invaluable when undertaking a restoration or just trying to find out some details about certain models.
To join our club you must attend a General Meeting and pay a once-only Joining Fee of $25 plus an Annual Fee of $40.
General meetings are held on the second Friday of each month at the Ormiston State School hall, Dundas Street East, Ormiston, starting at 7.30 pm. Club meetings are listed on the Club Events page here.
